This year's event will include special recognition of our 50 years of service to the Central Texas community.
Amplify Austin is a 24-hour day of giving that supports Central Texas nonprofits and Big Brothers Big Sisters is excited to be participating again this year. In fact, this year, we want to “Go Bigger” than ever before.

You can help change a child’s life. Join over 1,000 individuals and companies who raise money for BBBS and celebrate with a weekend of bowling, food, drinks, team photos, costumes, and killer door prizes.
This two-day, themed bowling event provides the funding needed to bring caring, adult mentors to more children who need them. At any given time, up to 200 children (or more) are waiting to be matched with Big Brothers or Big Sisters of their own. Bowl for Kids helps move these children off the waiting list and gets them matched with the Bigs that they deserve!
Our annual Promising Futures Scholarship Ceremony recognizes the achievements of graduating high school seniors who are receiving BBBS educational scholarships, as well as the commitment of Littles who are 14 years and older, have been matched for at least one year, and promise to complete their high school education.
BBBS’ annual Hobie Day provides Bigs, Littles, and their families with an exciting way to stay cool in the summer sun! Local sailing group the Austin CATS provides all of the equipment and expertise needed for participants to enjoy a refreshing sailboat ride and sailing lessons on the lake.

This special event takes place Saturday, August 27 at 6:00 pm at the JW Marriott in downtown Austin. With cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a seated dinner, live and silent auctions, live music, and more, it’s an exciting evening that changes children’s lives for the better, forever.
The Austin Revitalization Authority is holding its 5th Annual Dr. Charles Urdy Golf Tournament at Avery Ranch Golf Club.
