Bowl For Kids
Your Home Austin, United StatesEach year, over 1,000 individuals and companies raise funds to help Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas bring caring, adult mentors to more children who need them.
This year we’re having a hybrid event! While we won’t be holding a physical bowling celebration, you can continue to form a team, join a team or donate online. Teams that raise $750 or more will receive vouchers to bowl at Highland Lanes, along with prizes, t-shirts, and special perks.
Promising Futures Scholarship Ceremony
Our annual Promising Futures Scholarship Ceremony recognizes the achievements of graduating high school seniors who are receiving BBBS educational scholarships, as well as the commitment of Littles who are 14 years and older, have been matched for at least one year, and promise to complete their high school education.
Hobie Day – cancelled
Each year, Bigs, Littles, and their family members enjoy a day of swimming and sailing on the lake thanks to the generosity of local catamaran sailing group, the Austin Cats. For almost forty years, the Austin Cats have donated their time, expertise and equipment to provide this unique experience to hundreds of kids in the BBBS program.
Ice Ball 2021: BBBS 50th Anniversary Special

It’s a night of elegance, inspiration and revelry that makes a lifetime of difference for children in our community. This year's event will include special recognition of our 50 years of service to the Central Texas community.
Amplify Austin
Amplify Austin is a 24-hour day of giving that supports Central Texas nonprofits and Big Brothers Big Sisters is excited to be participating again this year. In fact, this year, we want to “Go Bigger” than ever before.
Early giving has already begun, and donations are now being accepted. Funds raised through 6 pm March 3rd will count toward our Amplify Austin campaign goal. Go to www.AmplifyATX.org to learn more and give now.
Bowl For Kids
Highland Lanes 8909 Burnet Rd., Austin, TX, United StatesYou can help change a child’s life. Join over 1,000 individuals and companies who raise money for BBBS and celebrate with a weekend of bowling, food, drinks, team photos, costumes, and killer door prizes.
This two-day, themed bowling event provides the funding needed to bring caring, adult mentors to more children who need them. At any given time, up to 200 children (or more) are waiting to be matched with Big Brothers or Big Sisters of their own. Bowl for Kids helps move these children off the waiting list and gets them matched with the Bigs that they deserve!

Hobie Day
BBBS’ annual Hobie Day provides Bigs, Littles, and their families with an exciting way to stay cool in the summer sun! Local sailing group the Austin CATS provides all of the equipment and expertise needed for participants to enjoy a refreshing sailboat ride and sailing lessons on the lake.

This special event takes place Saturday, August 27 at 6:00 pm at the JW Marriott in downtown Austin. With cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a seated dinner, live and silent auctions, live music, and more, it’s an exciting evening that changes children’s lives for the better, forever.
